The iVAC2L is Pulsecath’s percutaneous ventricular assist device (pVAD), designed to deliver natural pulsatile circulatory support in patients undergoing high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) or experiencing impaired left ventricular function. Unlike continuous-flow systems, the iVAC2L generates pulsatile blood flow, supporting coronary perfusion and end-organ circulation while preserving the heart’s native function.

Utilising a minimally invasive transfemoral approach, the system delivers up to 2.0 L/min of additional diastolic flow, enabling improved hemodynamic stability during complex procedures. Its single-lumen, bi-directional 17 Fr catheter integrates with a membrane pump and is uniquely compatible with standard intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) consoles, eliminating the need for dedicated capital equipment.

Designed for ease of use and rapid deployment, the iVAC2L provides a cost-effective and time-efficient solution for temporary circulatory support. This makes it particularly well suited for protected PCI and emergency settings, where simplicity, reliability, and clinical performance are critical.
